Vapodest Rapid Distillation

Vapodest 30s

Programmable Distillation VAPODEST 20s – 30s

The Vapodest 20s and 30s are programmable systems for the automatic rapid steam distillation for a wide variety of analyses. Typical distillations range from 2 – 4 minutes.

Vapodest 20s and 30s can accommodate a wide variety of Gerhardt distillation tube sizes including 100ml, 250ml, 400ml, 800ml straight-sided tubes and 250ml, 500ml and 750ml round bottomed flasks. Tubes from some other manufacturers will also fit directly onto the Vapodest 20s and 30s.

The Vapodest 20s has a time controlled reagent addition pump, which can be calibrated to dispense more accurate volumes. Distillation time can be set from seconds to 99 minutes 59 seconds, however with 125ml distillate being produced in about 4 minutes at 100% power typically only a few minutes are required.

Steam power can be varied between 40 – 100% with automatic switch off at programme end allowing unattended operation.

Up to10 programs of operation may be stored within the Vapodest 20s for flexible operation.

A clear protective door allows a visual check of the system in operation, whilst a door safety switch prevents any contact with the steam during operation.

Water is only used when the Vapodest is in operation and the pressure is monitored in case of water failure.

The system cannot be run without a tube in position ensuring no accidental steam release.

Errors are displayed clearly in a two line LED display.

The Vapodest 30s has the additional features of a water addition pump for sample dilution before distillation and the ability to remove the sample residue from the distillation flask at the end of the analysis.

Vapodest 50s

Programmable Distillation with titration

Vapodest 45s and 50s

The Vapodest 45s is a programmable system for the automatic rapid steam distillation for a wide variety of analyses. Typical distillations and titrations range from 3 – 5 minutes.

Principally designed for Kjeldahl, Ammonia, Nitrogen and Nitrate determination these systems distil the sample or sample digest and back titrate to an endpoint before calculating the result.

Vapodest 45s can accommodate a wide variety of Gerhardt distillation tube sizes including 100ml, 250ml, 400ml, 800ml straight-sided tubes and 250ml, 500ml and 750ml round bottomed flasks. Tubes from some other manufacturers will also fit directly onto the Vapodest 45s.

Steam power can be varied between 40 – 100%, with automatic titration and switch off at program end, allowing unattended operation. At the end of the programme, Boric acid is dispensed into the receiver vessel in preparation for the next sample.

Up to 10 programmes of operation may be stored within the Vapodest 45s for flexible operation.

A clear protective door allows a visual check of the system in operation, whilst a door safety switch prevents any contact with the steam during operation.

Thus, the VAPODEST 45s offers all the benefits of a complete analysis system.

The system is managed by software programme, Vapodest Manager, allowing multiple programmes to be stored for greater flexibility, as well as data storage and management.

For even greater flexibility the Vapodest 50s can accommodate an automatic sample loading carousel holding up to 20-tubes for unmanned operation.
